Kaplan Turbine
The Kaplan Turbines are the most indicated to low water falls (3 to 32 meters) and big flows.
- Vertical Kaplan Turbine, with spiral box made of steel or semi-spiral made of concrete
- Upstream, downstream or inclined "S" Tubular Kaplan Turbine
- Bulb Tubular Kaplan Turbine
They can be produced with individual outputs up to 15MW with single regulation (fixed helix rotor blades) or double regulation (adjustable blades of the distributor and rotor), which guarantees an excellent yield curve.
